This is a common myth. I've only seen it on Microsoft products. For other products, this is not the case. (Or when it is, its within $7 difference and as often as not, the PC side is more expensive.)

Probably because they are charging more. I'm not sure why, but it seems Mac software is also a lot more money than for the PC versions. It used to be worse. Why is that? I'm assuming because there are fewer choices.
