Partitions...boot manager

Do you use Win95 to a limited extent? 500 MB seems a bit small for Win95. Is F: NTSF?

Do you use the NT boot manager or Powerquest (IBM)?

What's in store for your old hard drive? Do you have one hard drive in your system? Why not use the old drive as your "storage" drive? What do you use the removable drive bay(s) for?

Hard drives and TJT pricing

Check out tjt.com for a good sense of best prices on current EIDE drives at various capacities. I think the sweet spot for a typical trading user may be the Maxtor 2880 6.4 gig drive at $164.

Note that the pricing here sometimes lags TJT's pricing as posted on price watch.

Also, their deskstar pricing has dropped somewhat in recent days, giving the Maxtor more competition than previously. Still, I'd opt for the Maxtor 2880 series.
