Concerned about the equity financing? Call your broker and buy some soon as my broker tells me it should close this week. The delay has been because of the tough market conditions. Fund managers normally take up a chunk of issues such as this. Those funds they represent are bleeding, they've lost a lot of value over the past year and people are cashing in their investments. Just try and get these fund managers to part with cash reserves (needed to payout on cash ins) to buy any junior company no matter how good the story.

Until resource stocks in general turn around and money starts coming into the market it is going to be tough to sell any issue no matter how good and it's hard for any junior's share price to climb.

Richard:

As you've read elsewhere on this thread, marketing an exploration issue right now is extremely difficult, but I believe that we will close it either this week or early next week. It hasn't closed yet because a lot of people are taking their time making up their minds while LME prices gyrate. For what it's worth, I can address a couple of your concerns / suggestions.

First, there are orders in and the book is building but our hats are not hung exclusively on the success and size of this issue. We are looking at several different options in terms of business arrangements and financing.

Second, I can assure you that our focus is entirely on Lejano and Bacon, with a couple of exceptions: we have other promising indications in the area around Lejano which we are not going to ignore; and, we have a number of companies with which we have been having discussions concerning not only Western Santa Cruz but also other properties and projects, and we don't intend to walk away from those discussions. As I've said before, we have had offers on Western Lejano and we have reached a wide range of levels of seriousness in our discussions in a number of areas, but good deals are not filling anyone's air right now. Still, we are not spending very much money outside of the Western Santa Cruz area and, for the moment, even that expense is going down sharply for the next few months.

I hope this helps some.

Greg
