CS, thanks for posting the Dremam column. It is important to note that Dreman has not been a "perma-bear" on the market in general, so can not be offhandedly dismissed as the perma-bulls do whenever anyone mentions anything Bill Fleckenstein says.

Dreman's table is quite interesting. Looks like E*Trade is the most reasonably valued on the list. Big surprise!?!? It would be nice to understand his numbers better though as it is unclear what the starting point is for his earnings growth assumptions, particularly for a company like AMZN that is expected to lose money for the next two years. Some are likely to take issue with the growth rates too. Overall, though, it'd be hard to come up with a realistic set of assumptions that would multiply his most generous figure for AMZN by 25 to bring it up to market. Similarly, how likely is it that AOL, YHOO, NSCP, etc. will do ten times better than his assumptions to make them fairly valued now?

Regards,
Bob

It is that same thinking that kept a lot on investors out of equities during the 90's. As far as I am concerned, the market is overvalued. It has been overvalued since I have followed it and will continue to be overvalued as long as I invest. When is the last time you turned on CNBC and they say things are undervalued. Also, as long hard asset inflation is low you will have financial inflation.
