MTIC warning of flat quarter.... It looks like BXH's warning of an industry wide slow down a month ago was correct. I suppose there is some consolation in the fact that BXH's reduction in earnings relative to estimates was not specifically due to a unique problem of their own.

3, 4, 6... whatever, I finally threw in the towel a few minutes ago and liquidated my position in BXH. Yes, its definitely a loss, but I'd rather take the loss now then wallow as we have been doing. I just don't 'feel' right about BHX, have not for a while, and should have sold earlier when I started having my gut reaction (which history has proved I should heed).

For the sake of everyone here who is holding on, I wish you the very best. Following my policy never to look back once I sell something, I shall not be checking the price of BXH again--this way I neither regret my decision to sell (if it goes up) nor gloat if it keeps going down.

Its been a long time since I put anything in the section of Sch D for short term holdings, but for '98 I'm going to have one, my loss from BXH.

The best of luck to everyone,

Lynn
