I am not one of the nays who agrees that there is a large short position, I always have doubted that as the I have felt all along it was a ploy by Morgan to create interest in what we now know was a failing company, it was a last ditch effort to spur interest in buying in order that he and others could dump their stock.

If there was in fact a massive short position that would have to be covered, then a lot of people would make money, far more than the $70,000 needed to pay for an audit. The $70,000 would be chump change and someone surely would have coughed it up in order to facitlitate the squeeze.
