The following link is from Fore systems. If you scroll to the bottom of the page you will see a diagram. On that diagram you will see 40 GBS backplane. That 40 GBS could be a GigaMux. I'm posting this to show how the GigaMux works with Fore's ATM switch. Without a GigaMux a different more expensive product must be used to provide that 40 GBS backplane. I'm not sure what that product would be, anyone?
