stx, there's no doubt it has had an effect on the price. I mean, the company hasn't even made a dime yet on the WWF license and now it is gone? We all know how the Street is discounting any WCW earnings THQ has (thus the single-digit PE, pretty much unheard of in the interactive entertainment industry). The question is, will the Street do the same with Acclaim? I mean, what if Warzone is a huge hit and the Street only values it as a one-time gain?

Very odd and I wonder who will get the license? Obviously THQ would be an obvious choice, but the company is not known for paying top dollar. Is the WWF pulling a Piazza? Did AKLM have to let WWF walk because it wouldn't pay the price? Did WWF want a ton of money because they guessed that WCW got a sweetheart of a deal from ERTS? Did AKLM feel that the market has already been saturated by WCW and that WWF titles in 1998 and 1999 will finish off any interest for wrestling games on the PSX and N64? I mean by November, THQ alone will have published 3 WCW games for the PSX in less than 20 months.

Throwing up my hands,
Marc
