WESTFORT ANNOUNCES NEW WELL - JOHNNY RHODES 7-6

JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI, June 3 /CNW/ - Westfort Energy Ltd, symbol WT on
the Toronto Stock Exchange announced that the company plans to commence
operations immediately to start drilling the Johnny Rhodes 7-6 well to a depth
of 11,500 feet. The location work will start tomorrow, with Nabors rig 981
scheduled to move on the location approximately June 15th. The location is a
40 acre offset to recent drilling success by an outside operator on the north
end of the field, where initial production rates in excess of 200 barrels of
oil per day have been experienced. Geology indicates that at least six zones
with excellent reservoir potential in the Lower Cretaceous section will be
encountered. The Pelahatchie Deep Unit 18-4 No. 1 well currently being
drilled south of this location has encountered 13 mud log shows of oil and/or
gas in this section.
Canadian Delta, Inc., the wholly owned subsidiary of Westfort Energy owns
75% working interest in the Johnny Rhodes 7-6 well.

The Toronto Stock Exchange has neither approved nor disapproved of this
release.
