JBN3, I picked up some Aug 85 when DELL was at $78. I'm guessing we may see $87 to $88 this week or next then a retracement to $82-$83 by options expiration. After expiration the only roadblock we have is the FOMC July 1 & 2. Given the anecdotal evidence I've picked up on 2nd Q sales in Pc's and servers I believe that CPQ will beat consensus estimates. What's your take?

Hi Bachman,..Re:<<Dell's expansion>>

Bachman, I somehow don't think the current product scope is the entire story here. Remember some hints several weeks back about Dell's cash and lucrative new technology which would be perfectly suited to their already envious BTO-JIT processes. I've been digging and found that XDSL technology might be a good candidate for new enterprise, but nobody else seems to be wondering about it.

Now, in the past two days, we've had BIG news about this technology, first from FON and now from TLAB & CIEN. The CIEN CEO said on CNBC this morning that this is where the telecom industry is going but wouldn't commit to either the telcos or the cable moguls. Since you are a local, can't you do some snooping around?<ggg> I find this story intriguing and can't seem to let it go. Probably because I crave more bandwidth!<ggg>

Sure am glad that Sig is back and sharp as usual.

Regards,

Lee

Bachman,
Hi!!!

<<<< As I recall, certain of the long-term bears were expressing doubt that the $500MM
debt instrument was for construction. Some even implied that DELL management was
guilty of financial hocus-pocus. At this point, I'd like to go on record again as doubting
the accuracy of those bears' predictions. <g> Of course, I would never dream of
impugning their motives>>>

I do believe it will be a festive time when we meet in July...My first concern is to meet all of you...my second concern is to witness the building construction that is underway...and when Dell doubles again maybe we can all go on a world tour and check all these sites out!! Some slow down huh?

"The picture just keeps getting clearer and clearer"

BUY DELL

Best, Kemble

Good morning Bachman,

Yes, I think it was Rosemary who first alerted this thread to SA.

Reagrding your comment Actually, the scale of the construction is so large, in essence more than doubling DELL's current production capacity, that it would almost certainly have impacted earnings without the debt issue.

Do you know at what percent of capacity Dell is currently operating? Considering the excellent possibility of Dell growing at 40%+ per year for the next two years that would require an additional doubling if they are operating at near capacity now. Do you have any thoughts on this issue?

TTFN,
CTC
