Out of curiosity, how do you know that "mm covered their shorts"? How can you tell if it is mm's instead of a fund of some type buying, or some recommendation by a newsletter or something? If it is mm's, how do you know they covered? Couldn't it be that they are still covering? Do they act in unison? Could they be out of synch with each other? How do you know how many shares are still to be covered? I imagine that the traders on the short side are getting squeezed now, as they would any time the price goes up, but how do you know what the covering point is for them (as a group)? How can you tell at what point the mm's will short more and how far it will drop before they cover again?

No disrespect is intended. I appreciate that this may all be opinion, and I respect that. But the traders, and especially the ones who are short sellers, say these things about the direction of the price moves with such conviction. Maybe you know how to figure these things out and if so, I would love to learn them.

One thing I do know, however, is that they don't know what they are talking about when they talk about hype or anything at all about the fundamentals of this company and the promise the research indicates about their products.
