you can open an account with a firm that lets you trade on instinet...

dont know who they are but I have seen the ads..

If your using a broker like Watley, MB, Tiger, etc. you can trade unlisted stocks on Instanet before and after the day.

When you here Maria talking about something being up from the close, that's what she's talking about.
