Although NSM was 10 times as big as Cyrix, Cyrix still has the power in 1999 to move NSM up. If NEC were to buy NSM, the dream would be completely over.

Well they had better, apparently NSM has put at least 60% of the resources and cash into Cyrix over the last 2q's.

I agree I would like to Cyrix/NSM do well, but if things keep going the way they are, I would be happy to see Cyrix's designs with NEC's power behind them.

If NEC were to buy NSM, the dream would be completely over.

If it happened in this way, I would very sad and sorry.
Unfortunately, we are seeing the exact same buyout patterns that happened to Cyrix are happening to NSM through the pressure onto the stock prices. :((
