Thanks Commgod I decided to copy and paste one little excerpt from the May 31st article:

pressdemo.com

"We're interested in building a world-class medical device company,'' said chief financial officer and company co-founder John D. Miller, 40. "A company that buys 85 acres, and goes into a major building project, is trying to create something with real legs that is going to be around for a while.''

I read numerous posts on the Yahoo AVEI thread noting both the possibility of of AVEI being acquired as well as their possibly acquiring another company themselves. I believe that in the simple statement above we can see that AVEI is not interested in becoming anyone's subsidiary. On the other hand I have seen it noted many times that AVEI needs to bundle their stents with catheters to deliver them. American Biomed's catheters might just be the ticket due to their unique design. Who can say for sure but a company with a broader product line has more opportunity for success in this industry.

Certainly not me but I would not rule it out.

Thanks for your post and the URL's.

Regards, Jeff
