Yes, I know that in theory you are right. But who had the ability to decide the fate of VHS/Beta before Panasonic, Sony and all the other players entered? AMPEX. And what are they doing in the field of video today, in terms of making decisions? Nada...they were the leaders in the field in the 50's and 60's, and never played a strong leadership role, not recognizing the potential of what they had. First in DOESN'T mean they will automatically be the winner. I have serious doubts about the commercial apps of internet 2 to begin with. Seems the current one is too busy defining itself for anyone to worry about #2....
