Lee, but Asia does resurrect through export, look at our balance of trade, soon it will be $15 Billion/month, despite the fact that we are getting everything we need on the cheap. This means unit volume imported is probably some 20% to 30% above last year. Sooner or later this will impact out own companies (in affected industries) profitability. Our saving graces is that a very large portion of our economy is immune to such influences (services, food, etc.) and thus, the dollars saved on the imports will flow to support those domestic segments. Beware, however, since sooner or later, we will have to reckon with our ever growing trade deficit.

Lee/Sam/Zeev. I am totally impressed with the quality of thought on this thread and the ability of all of you to keep moving ahead of the tsumi.. just behind. MikeM your astute observations are always appreciated.

Going "out of station" to the west coast next week. Will report how the Asian crisis has impacted those communities on the shores of the Salton Sea.

My best to you all,
