"The real thing" Mr. Norris. All of my quotes about the Qur'an came directly from the Qur'an. Would you call the Qur'an an anti-religious pamphlet? Now that you bring it up, the Qur'an could indeed be considered an anti-religious pampphlet against the one true religion, Christianity.

You're missing the point. I never said those words did not originate from the Qur'an. I said that the quotes were being pulled out of context.

You're attacking Islam simply because the entire religion is not like Christianity. It is true a major difference comes between the religions in that Islam does not equate Jesus with God but the similarities are much more plentiful. People like you focus on the differences to create division.

You're very well aware of the verse in the Bible where a disciple calls Jesus the son of God and Jesus tells him to tell no man such a thing. If I put that quote here by itself, it gives the appearance that Jesus was telling this person he was not the son of God.

However, I'm sure you'd be happy to contend I was pulling verses out of context and trying to attack Christianity in someway.

And perhaps from the above example you'll see your errors from pulling one verse from the Qur'an and then concluding conclusively that the Qur'an is against Christianity. The Qur'an says that Christians are nearest to love in Islam. When Muslims were being persecuted in 620 A.D., they fled to a Christian community seeking refuge.

Why? Because they Qur'an made it clear Christians were nearest to love in Islam. Not against it!

You never posted this Surah (chapter) before. I guess because you felt posting these verses might actually bring Christians and Muslims together:

Behold! the angels said: "Oh Mary! God giveth
thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will
be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held
in honour in this world and the Hereafter
and of (the company of those) nearest to God

"He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity
And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous"

She said: "Oh my Lord! how shall I have a son
when no math hath touched me?
He said: "Even so, God createth what He willeth
when He hath decreed a Plan, He but saith to it
"Be," and it is!

And God will teach him the Book and Wisdom
The Law and the Gospel"

Surah 3, Verses 45-48
