<<What's it going to take to move up?

Just one sentence on CNBC will do the trick. Better yet, the CEO talk there in person. This market is nothing but hype. So if you don't hype, you won't move.

This should generate some upgrades and earnings revisions. I think when we look back in 3-6 months we will all be satisfied (unless of course you were short at $10). I agree that today has been underwhelming, but it took wstl and seamans months to destroy all of their credibility, it is not surprising that they didn't get it back overnight.

Something is indeed strange.

This news should have been good for more than a point pop.

I don't think we're getting the full picture, whatever that may be.

Hal, I think that the edge of the network will become a really big issue soon. In the simplest of terms, the Ciena & Tellabs merger today was really a merger to answer the backbone issues of solving the networks edge.

I mean if the edge is solved. You will have to have bigger pipes in the backbone of the network??

I know you know more about this stuff than me, but doesn't that sound right????

Hi Hal,

Just some thoughts.

1)The only thing that justifies the current movements of these kinds of stocks is if the analysts are taking the kind of stand We still don't see the money. When are we going to see it on your balance sheet?

2)Second. I think many of the brokerage houses that were in these stocks before when the prices were high got their asses burned. I think a few years ago we had multiple houses invested on a single company. The houses later realized WHEN they were going to start seeing the money. The first brokerage house bails and the others follow suit at a loss to their portfolio, leaving a bad taste in the mouths of many.

So here we are fighting round 3. People now starting to see contracts. And at the same time, the brokerage houses still have the bad tastes left in their mouths.

Look at Orckit. 14.7M shares outstanding and only selling for $20 with a GTE contract in their back pocket.

Now WSTL, news of a 41M line deployment. Good for a 1 point pop.

Its going to take time people.
