Did somebody post this from news.com :

Networking player 3Com
is aiming to hire a new
senior executive, to
assume the role of either
president or chief
operating officer and help
manage the company's
daily operations. 3Com,
which currently is
conducting interviews for
the position, hopes to
make the hire as soon
as possible, a
spokesman said. The
new hire would report
directly to Eric
Benhamou, 3Com's
president, chief
executive, and chairman

<< What the story with NN? They have a good report finally, and then go down almost $4.00?? >>

They ran up quite a bit ahead of earnings. Their earnings weren't very good, it's just after 3 missed quarters in a row, analysts finally figured out that it was best to take their original estimates and cut them in half.

I believe they earned 13 cents vs. 28 last year. Hardly a great quarter.
