Well, Intel came out with a denial of sorts of preannouncing. The choice of words used here is both interesting, and ambiguos. **************************** <<"At this point, I can say that we do not have anything planned for today," said Intel spokesman Howard High, when asked about the rumors on Wall Street that Intel might pre-announce a second quarter earnings shortfall. "I am not aware of any plans to change our guidance," High said. "At this point in time, we don't have anything scheduled to change that (previous guidance)." > *********** However it has had the effect of propping up intel and dell afterhours.
