If you check the bottom right hand corner below this message, you'll see that more than 3M shares traded today whereas average volume is about 1M.

Short interest is counted as of the 15th of the month and reported about a week or so later.

fumble, you don't have to sell short to depress the price.All you have to do is sell a LARGE amount, that you previously accumulated at +/-25.5 - 27, at 28 - 30. That will put enough pressure on the little guy to sell, often at a loss.By little I mean little experience and knowledge. the old law of supply and demand. All you need are 4 -5
brokers of large Institutions ( pension funds,etc ),golf buddies, a telephone call, " sell now ", and you get today's action.
