Tomato-gravy is good, but I prefer whole tomatoes in my gravy. I think we got this love of tomatoes, us Southerners, from our English forebearers because the English eat warm stewed tomatoes for breakfast . . . with baked beans and uncooked bacon? . . . no wonder they lost the war. I love 'em and go crazy over tomato sandwiches: just tomatoes; toast; mayo; and garlic salt. I might try one with shrimp next time. The best things come from the new world: tomatoes; chocolate (and cocoa leaves); potatoes; corn; coca-cola; football and Pamela Lee. I hope I get to add FNTN to the list!
