To Goalie, MNorth as well.

Get your facts straight before embarking on a crusade of false empathy. Goalie published the death of Frank Grobler. I was aware of the ' unfortunate incident ' as previously posted, but no mention was made as to his tragic death. For almost two weeks, none of you showed any emotion what so ever, only after Goalie published it. I say false empathy, as it was of no concern to you as long as your investment was not affected. Your actions are callous and repugnant.

Goalie infers that this was a simple robbery. Peter Kuitenbrouwer from The Financial Post writes and I quote " bandits ambushed company vehicles, killing SouthernEra's chief on mining operations Frank Grobler" The driver and bodyguard were also wounded. Bandits? One death and two wounded? A simple robbery? Is it the gospel according to Goalie's version, or the Financial post's, which implies something more significant. Which one is true, as any simple folk can clearly see that these are not the same circumstances. Was UNITA involved ,( CJ refer to their possible involvement ) and if so, then this is far more serious than one could could possibly imagine.

I find it equally repugnant, and I again refer to the same Financial Post, where Chris Jennings called this ' a terrible tragedy ', and in the same breath insisted that it would not dissuade SouthernEra from pursuing lucrative diamond deposits in Lunda province. It appears that the old maxim of ' profit at any cost ' is uppermost in SUF,s collective thoughts, or are they having difficulty in expressing themselves. They are equating the words tragedy with lucrative. How very sad indeed.

Obviuosly the mining operation must continue, and I sincerely hope that SUF will pay particular attention to the security of its employees, especially in an area that is infested with bandits and plagued with internal strife.

You are quick to paint De Beers in a negative light but you also accept the fact that marketing the diamonds through the CSO is great as ' no one wants to mess up the pricing structure '. What would you do if De Beers enters into some form of joint venture with SUF. Will you off load your shares or hang in for the profit? De Beers as a company has always been successfull and thats the reason why it is still around where many others are history.

Vaughn posting to Nempela on production issues, in response to other questions raised, makes for far better reading than Goalie's hysterical outburst.

Amazing that last time round CJ was so disgusted with BD that he wrote a letter to the editor.SUF were at that time overjoyed with FP.
What has changed or is it just your perception of reality.
In case you don't understand what reality is..$4.75 and this AFTER CJ 'held hands with shareholders' and told them what a great company they have.
