Yes it has, but it also ran up about 400% in the 4 years prior to this flat period. At any rate it's the future that must now be considered and the long term prospects, as I see them, look great. Intel is positioning themselves to dominate the high end in the same way they dominated the desktop for years.....and while doing so they will still continue to get more than their fair share of the low end, mid-range, and portable markets.

You're right, no rational person would have expected a 6 month delay to create such panic but when you have idiots like Kurlcrap insisting that this kills any chance of making 1999 numbers, that doesn't help. It's as if people, including the analysts, don't understand that the pipeline between the current processors and Merced is chalked full of products. In the high tech industry schedule slips are the rule not the exception. Does anyone remember the Win 95 delays???
