Tavros: Boy would I like to agree with you! But, recent experience follows.

I felt the same about Adaptec, bought at 19, same as Nextel at 22, could never go lower. Now at 14, it went lower. What went wrong? The company has no news, only an expected .20 share profit, as reported two months ago. This company has 600mil in the bank and almost no debt, yet it has been tanking badly.

Nextel at 15, hell no, Arnie will sell then and where the heck will the rest of us be?

Today was a bad scare, some quick purchases cause an immediate rebound, hope tomorrow can sustain a turn up. Otherwise, Ed will fall off the fence and into some 15 stock. Unfortunately he will be posting on SI alone, as the rest of us will probably be gone.

Tavros and Ed,

Tavros, I agree with your view on the market, Nextel's relative valuation based on POP's, multiples, and current / projected subs.

I do NOT suspect Ed of shorting the stock and trying to drive the stock down based on his comments and TA projections (same with Ken). These guys also say the stock looks like it may go up at times. Actually, for the six months or so that I've followed there posting, these guys have done as well at predicting the stock price as anyone here.

However, there are others who post, especially on the Yahoo! board that are much more suspect.

Rob, Long Nextel
