If SMOD can meet earnings of $1.09 this year and $1.34 next year I think the stock would be a steal at this price. But the reality of it, there is so much uncertainty, there is over supply and prices are dropping. It is hard to define the forward p/e with low earnings visibility and deterioration in profit margin. That is why SMOD is selling at P.E. of 10 (according to Zacks). What surprises me is that a stock like micron technology (MU) can sell at a P.E. of 38 (according to Zacks) when it does not even sell specialty chips and DRAM prices are dropping like a rock. I am not sure who is stupid enough to push up the stock price today over $1.
