Other hot Internet stocks such as General Magic (Nasdaq:GMGC - news) and C-Phone (Nasdaq:CFON - news) have
recently done discounted convertible offerings. That suggests these are extraordinarily high-risk outfits. Judging by their
financing alone, an investor bringing some pretty basic knowledge to the game has to figure that, barring a major surprise, both
are very likely to give back most if not all of their recent gains.

This does not seem like a vote of confidence on these stocks.

New York, June 3 (Bloomberg) -- The following is a list of companies whose shares are moving in U.S.
markets. The stock symbol is in parentheses after the company name.

General Magic Inc. (GMGC) rose as much as 1 1/16 to 11 1/2 as the voice-recognition software company
signed agreements with three wire services to provide news and information to subscribers of the company's
new Portico service, boosting the visibility of its fledgling technology.

This is not even accurate. GMGC has not risen 1 1/16 in any recent day.
