There are 2 wars going on now...the war between the RBOCs, cable and satellite companies, and the war between the equipment suppliers of the pipeline. We all know this. Sprint has fired the first shot, and I'm not sure the market really understands the implications for all the players. After the announcement, it sounded as though Sprint would own the segment outright...nationwide rollout...multiple calls, faxes and dsl internet access on ONE LINE?! Sounds too good to be true...secret technology and all that. So who gets crushed? All players not in their loop, so to speak. Why PAIR in particular? Why not all DSL players? That's where things get fuzzy...CSCO is the obvious winner and whatever chipset they're using.

So, now one day later PAIR is a winner because the RBOCs will have to spend the money? I'm supposed to believe that? The RBOCs were supposed to spend the money last year. Now they are hopelessly behind. I'm not buying the positive spin, and will wait for the waters to clear before jumping into PAIN. Somebody tell me why I should.
