Bob, thanks for your condolence [Intel stock's eroding price].

Do you have any positions either long or short in Intel or AMD?

Re: "Maybe when Intel drops another ten points, Paul and his dancing fools will leave."

I wouldn't count on it (that is, the fools leaving, not the Intel dropping).

On the other hand, I don't think Paul is the problem here. It's his dancing fools that bring down the thread.

Rob, re:"Intel Stock has dropped 36+ Billion in value"

Pocket change - There is still $112 billion INTC market cap still there.

Seriously I'll readily admit no investor likes a 25% haircut.

Hey as long as were lookin' at the numbers, consider that AMD is down under half its recent high, a 55% or so haircut. It only lost a paltry $2.9 billion in market cap. There is still $2.581 billion value left. Of course there is that $400 million brand new debt competing with investors for returns with promises of more later in the year. Hmmmm.

Fun with numbers: Does this mean Intel dropped 14 AMD's worth?

--------------------------

That said, perhaps you might know the answers the question of my original post. Do you know of an "official" 100MHz home grown chipset? Do you think AMD will market a "Slot A" chipset? How is the Rambus D memory interface development going or are the supporting Synclink?

Jeff

Bob,
I noticed that both AMD threads are filled with spam-like chatter. Is there any informative data to be had...or will we just have to wait until these people who have nothing to say are through?
