Mark,

One thing I don't like about this company is the ratio of deals and press releases compared to delivery.

I live in Manhattan, and it is hard to go from home to work without seeing at least one RCN ad. But when I tried to order their service from them, the only thing they had to offer was phone service (which is just resale of Bell Atlantic service.) They didn't provide service in my old building, or my new building. Both buildings are on very affluent Upper East Side. A typical building in Manhattan has 100 apartments, and judging from satisfaction with Nynex (now Bell Atlantic) and Time Warner, I think half would switch if offered alternative.

My question is: why advertise and claim to provide service in new areas when the coverage in areas described as success is still non-existent. To call their coverage swiss cheese is being very generous.

This whole thing looks like a scam to prop up the value of the stock and hope for an acquisition by someone with deep pockets, someone that can actually deliver.

Joe
