Aurum, Have you looked at the assorted ternary systems based on gold and tellurium? The third metal can be any PGM and they form a huge series on intermetallics. I will see if I can find a ref and add here. web.wt.net web.wt.net With those two references you can follow Ir compounds. Thereare some with Te etc. Bill

Aurum, I have ordered a book regarding the Fire assaying to better understand the complexities revolving around it so I really appreciate you taking the time to explain that too me. Unfortunately I have not heard anything about the book yet and probably won't for a few weeks. I wish I could have an intlligent conversation about the subject but I would simply be firing things off the top of my head which wouldn't be very good. Once I get the book I will have something to reference and ask more intelligent questions. Don't hesitate to fill me in on anything else you may over hear please. Chuck
