Time Traveler,

This is no surprise. I have been assuming Q1 for Katmai since the beginning of the year. Anyway, it doesn't matter. The K6-2 and K6-3 will not be competing against a 500 Mhz Katmai, which will probably sell for around $800 a piece! The Katmai will be taking sales away from the 450 Mhz PII. Katmai and Tanner will compete with the K7, and I expect the K7 to perform well against them. The news that AMD investors should hope they never hear is Intel announcing that they will introduce a chip in the Celeron line with KNI. Intel must respond to 3DNow in the low cost segment (and, I expect that they will).

Pravin.
