Think this article is somewhat misleading.

Desktop Y2K problems will be very annoying, but not nearly as catastrophic as business critical accounts receivable and payroll system problems. These business critical systems generally don't run on PCs or Macs, but on AS400s or larger "big iron" machines.

Even if that critical stuff would run on a bunch of Macs in parallel, there probably isn't enough time left for an orderly migration.

Makes for a nice sales presentation though :-)
