BAY is now trading over 30 in conjunction (I guess) with the huge premium paid by Alcatel for DSC...WOW! Looks like a deal is close or at least that our House was right on holding out for a much higher price!!

Purchase of Cienna puts the pressure on Cisco because they do not have dense
wavelength multiplex product and LU and TLabs do


Cisco has a partnership with Ciena. So, in a sense, they do have wavelength multiplex products to offer their customers. And Ciena has top-of-the-line datacomm products to offer their customers. What does BAY have? Hope of being bought out by a company that has both of the above products...<vbg>
