I don't know about this. I've been associated with a few startups, successful and unsuccessful, and in my experience, insiders in a company at this stage of development are too busy to make cheap profits like that. It's only stock nerds like us who pay that much attention to the price. I'd say the sell-off was more likely started by a huge MM short and then carried down by nervous nelly momentum traders who bought on the spike and then didn't have the guts to hang around and actually make a profit. And maybe a few original inhabitants who are off to other but not necessarily better things.
