Darren, $4.4B is a stock swap based on ALA's closing price yesterday. If ALA continues continues to tank (it won't),that $4.4B goes in toilet along with it.

Don't they just re-adjust the shares accordingly to the price they are willing to pay, which is where the 0.815 calculation would come into play. CNBC reported 20 million shares would be sold to pay for it by ALA, and that ALA was down on the French market by 9% (obviously very common action for the buyer).

I was thinking about buying some ALA before the DSC deal. ALA's stock is down about 10 % today. Do you think I should wait a while before I make the purchase?

I almost had two stocks get bought out in two consective days. I had some CIENA and had some DIGI for about a month. I should have held the DIGI. I knew there were rumors about DIGI being bought out. I should have known when the CEO of DIGI retired a few months ago and they didn't replace him. Too many things to keep track of these days.

Thanks, Jon Cave
