Anna, I suspect that the forecast system is designed for a period to be 1 week for short term, 1 month for intermediate, and 1 year for long term. The actual periods seem to be 7-10 days for short term, 1-1.5 month for intermediate, and ~1 year (too variable to be exact) for long term. The caveat here is that it takes judgement on what to do when the different time periods are in conflict. I will be very happy if this system gives 75+% forecasts. I find dollar cost averaging into the forecasts works pretty well, allows some hedging when wrong so I'm not trapped with a resultant loss.
