I did a little checking and discovered that he wasn't quite so brilliant - in fact, he was a big time loser, having lost well in excess of $100,000 on Novell since 1995. He then illustrated his "brilliance" by shorting Microsoft at $73 earlier this year, the day it began its rise to $98. MSFT has of course settled back to $85. Basically, he resents the fact that his pompous charade as an astute investor was so easily uncovered and he was revealed as a fraud and a loser. He now suffers from a damaged ego.
