To all, I stumbled upon this new press-release. It seems to confirm the partnership between Blackstone and Pick... With the soon to come interview on CBS, it looks like PICK is coming alive again and might live up to my expectations. Cheers H. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WAYNE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 28, 1998--PICK Communications Corp. (OTCBB:PICK) and Blackstone Calling Card, Inc. announced today the successful launch of a new prepaid calling card - TELE TALK. This card is the first one released under a strategic partnership formed by the companies earlier this year and highlighted recently in an article in The Wall Street Journal ('Prepaid Phone Cards Ring Up Business', April 22, 1998). Under the terms of the agreement between PICK and Blackstone, PICK provides the platform, network, tariffs and time supporting the cards, while Blackstone furnishes the design, printing, marketing, and distribution. Blackstone began a controlled release of TeleTalk Calling Cards early this month to an audience apparently anxiously awaiting the product. The reception in the distribution channels and at the consumer level has been extremely favorable and approximately $1 million dollars worth of product, at face value, has been prepaid and activated in the first four weeks of release. Luis Arias, President of Blackstone Calling Card, Inc., headquartered in Miami, FL, is pleased with the roll-out of the card, the quality of the network and the response of PICK to any issues which arose during the planning and initial implementation phases. "Now that we have passed the critical first weeks for a new card release", Mr. Arias said, "We can confidently expand its distribution and really sell some of this product". According to Karen M. Quinn, Vice President of Operations at PICK, "We are delighted to partner with Blackstone in this endeavor; they are a well-established distributor with proven capabilities for nationwide card distribution to a wide variety of markets. So far, the program implementation has been smooth and, judging from the retail response, the card fills a need for the consumer". The Company has international gateway switches located in Jersey City, NJ and Miami, FL. and provides carrier level services to telecommunications companies in the US and overseas.
