Marie - Owning "Dell-agra" makes me feel virile.

Your ideas on dell are probably pretty good strategies and your very wise to have a defensive position in this approach. However; call me a Dell zealot but, lets look at the checklist of facts;

1. Dell's up every quarter - check.
2. Dell's management is strong - check.
3. Dell maintains leadership role in industry - check.
4. Dell maintains top 10 in volume consistently - check.
5. Dell has been used as a model by it's competitors - check.
6. "Dell-zilla Come!" and stomp on competitors, CPQ, HP - check.
7. "Dell-agra" is needed in my Old Portfolio - check.

Believe I'll stay long on Dell.

I respectfully disagree. Anytime is a good time to buy Dell. I am known on SI for buying stuff too high but with Dell the shares have just gone higher anyway.

Maria,

Are you a trader or a longer term investor?

You don't understand DELL at all. The stock for the time being maybe trading in the range. But, in a month, it will be well bejond 100. I did take an opportunity to bail out at 95. But, I am now back in accumulation mode again.
