Here's another take on the company's announcement: they make the announcement to keep the price up so they can sell their shares, of which they have plenty. This is an old trick played by insiders. They saw the price dropping and were worried they wouldn't make money on the recent runup. When you'all go to sell do you draw straws to see who goes first? It is easy to get in; it ain't so easy to get out. The smart ones are getting out now and buying back in later.
