Why I feel strongly that it's actually *market makers* that are selling these 'chunks' to other market makers, is that at the retail level the size of trade is generally limited to 5000 shares per trade. Thus anytime one sees trades of, say, 50 k you know that it is a market maker selling to another market maker.

Any comments appreciated.
