Mark, I must admit I am struggling with the whole concept of the conservative Christians who do not act in a Christ-like way. Either they really are Christians, as they believe they are, which does reflect badly on their own Christian churches at least, or they are acting as individuals, seemingly utterly unaware of the real values that Christianity teaches. Since they are acting in organized groups, it makes it very hard to separate them out from the churches they represent. It also seems a little judgmental to say that they do not understand the real message of Christianity. Who am I to judge? So I end up still terribly confused. I would appreciate your help in straightening out my thoughts here!!
