6 months is nothing. Back in 1991-1992 I held onto CPQ for a year and half before I was back in the black. Anyways, if you held this long you might as well give CPQ at least 2-3 more months. I truly believe CPQ will double ($55) before DELL will ($168).

Does anyone know when Compaq announces earnings? I'm not too concerned if they post a small loss ...what is important is how the inventory, BTO, and DEC merger are moving along.

Phil,

LOL.... Nice Post. Threatening to sell will probably move this P*G fast.

Phil,
Get a grip on it. The roller coaster ride will start in the third quarter and pay off big time. So hold on tight.

I bought a load of CPQ back in August of last year when it was a "screaming bargain" (as per the analyst) at $69.00. I finally got smart and picked up some DELL during the dip, but the bulk of my portfolio is in CPQ.

Here is to a midsummer rally, I hope.

If I may make a suggestion to EP, with regards to the excess inventory, perhaps if CPQ would be good enough to supply each shareholder who got burnt, it could kill two birds with one stone by making their shareholder's happy and eliminating their excess inventory.
