(DRAM prices if they hold will be very very good for semi-equips but will they hold...)

Mason:

The cutbacks by the big 3 in Korea on DRAM output may bring good times back to the semi-equips IF it is sustainable. I'm not sure but if say DRAM goes up 30-40% (we know the prices can turn on a dime since the demand is still there) and it remains at this level for a few months and then goes up AMAT will be very happy.

BUT the bugaboo is whether this reduction by the Koreans will be undone by over-supply from others. There is a lot of capacity around and some may decide to get greedy.

Should be interesting.
