I heard that a federal judge put the kibosh on Qwest's proposal to market long distance service with US West today. The Court issued a preliminary injunction prohibiting, at least temporarily, this arrangement. There is a similar case in Illinois involving a Ameritech-Qwest proposal. This may explain the downward movement today.

I took your advice and sent their investor relations an e-mail expressing my concern about the stock's recent plunge. I doubt I'll get a response but we'll see. I saw by a later post you bought more shares, I hope you're right. I would think about buying more but I've got it all on QWST at around 38-39. If it doesn't start turning around now that the merger is completed I am taking my losses elsewhere. Good luck.
