Safeguard doesn't own any of the outstanding float of its partnership companies. "Float" is usually defined as the number shares that can be freely traded, which excludes insiders and 5% holders (Safeguard is usually both for its partnership companies). Therefore, the liquidity is not affected, although I guess you could make an argument in the direction of potential dilution.
