Tony, The report also reminds us that "final FDA approval of ONTAK will trigger a $40 million payment by Ligand to Seragen." and that they only have a 12-18 month target price of $20 per share (is this all that we can hope for out of LGND in 12-18 months?). Also, Legg Manson (;-)) adds a risk rating to their rec's. While others like to state that Buy is their highest rating, it should be noted that Speculative is also their highest risk rating: Investment Rating: B-Buy, O-Outperform, M-Market Performance, U-Underperform Risk Rating: 1-Low, 2-Average, 3-Above-Average, 4-Speculative> I agree that this stock is highly speculative. There is no guarantee that any of Ligand's products will become FDA approved. I don't like the overhang of the unresolved legal suits mentioned in the 10-Q.The blockbuster drugs are still further away. Some of the potential blockbuster drugs will only bring royalties if successful. However, analysis by paralysis on this board does help sift through the issues, and I am a watchfully bullish. I put my money where my mouth is and have bet a considerable sum on this "speculative stock". I trust that this is not all an exercise for you and that you have also placed your bets. You have caused me to refocus and place part of my LGND investment into trading stock. It works well. Thank you. I value your constructive opinions, like the one above. Again, thank you. I can't say the same for the dribble.
