The image of Mr. Gig should have a makeover or be asked to leave. As a long time lurking fan of this thread, I have to say I am glad this subject came up here. I was thinking of raising the issue myself a while back, to take a vote and see what people thought of the image of the beatnik guy. My impression of his image at first, was that it was supposed to appeal to hollywood video editors who might be more grunge oriented in their tastes; but, in my opinion fell short by presenting an image that made you wonder if the guy had "Head Lice" or smelled. I think if Ancor sticks with this look, the character should be revised to look like a more potent individual, that catches the eye of women and makes men think this guy wields influence. Like a Brad Pitt type in good shape with a cool grunge look. I think the image should exude "Power" that people want. Maybe even like Captain Kirk on "The Bridge of the Enterprise" with a heroic look, saying " give me more power Scotty." The best test of image for Ancors product should be, 1) would a young guy or girl in the Silicon Valley want to put a big poster of their logo and product up on their bedroom wall (next to a poster of an awesome looking Silicon Graphics workstation), to be cool. Or 2) would they say "no thanks." Young people are the future, so what they think is important. It is nice to see Ancor bouncing back. I am still long, and waiting for Ancor to take off. JW

<<The image could be almost anything from the gigworks beatnik to lightning in a bottle,to lightning coming out of an MKII port, to a small tunnel like the one in Marin over the GG Bridge that opens up into 6 lanes of traffic and if it doesn't do that retouch it so that it does.Do it at sunset when thecar lights are on and you won't even see the cars, just streams of light coming out of a tunnel and expanding out. Another one could be just 20 bands of light representing information coming out of the MKII connecting directly into tiny picture of 20 workstations.Keep the image simple!!!!>> Great idea, when I read your post I had the same image, speed, light, power.
