M2 PRESSWIRE-4 June 1998-NETSCAPE: Netscape Directory Server provides
foundation for Ford Motor Company's worldwide extranet (C)1994-98 M2
COMMUNICATIONS LTD

-- Centralized directory services simplify extranet administration of more than
200,000 users and reduces cost of ownership

Netscape Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: NSCP) today announced that
Ford Motor Company is using Netscape Directory Server software as the foundation
for the Ford Supplier Network, an extranet that lets Ford deliver information and
applications to Ford's suppliers around the world. Netscape Directory Server
provides the service-ready infrastructure that enables Ford to simplify administration
and reduce the cost of ownership for one of the industry's most advanced extranets.
With more than 200,000 directory entries for people and other resources stored in a
central directory, Ford's extranet system is one of the largest directory deployments
to date.

Ford has found that directory performance is crucial to the successful deployment of
its extranet applications, with even small degradations in directory performance
resulting in unusable applications. Netscape Directory Server solves this problem for
Ford by providing the high levels of performance and reliability that Ford requires.

"As a leader and innovator in the automotive industry, Ford is taking the idea of a
corporate extranet to the next level by delivering highly-scalable extranet applications
to suppliers around the world," said John Paul, senior vice president and general
manager of Netscape's Server Products Division. "By leveraging the performance and
scalability of Netscape Directory Server, Ford is able to deliver these applications as
Internet-based services that are more reliable and lower in cost than was previously
possible."

Netscape Mission Control provides real-time directory and security services that
enable centralized, low-cost management of a myriad of Internet applications
deployed by Enterprise Service Providers (ESPs) and independent software
companies. Mission Control's service-ready infrastructure is ideal for companies
competing in the Net economy where high performance, scalability, 24x7 reliability
and strong security that extends outside the enterprise are critical for success.

Netscape Communications Corporation is a premier provider of open software and
services for linking people and information over enterprise networks and the Internet.
The company offers a full line of clients, servers, development tools, commercial
applications and professional services to create a complete platform for next
generation, live online applications. Traded on NASDAQ under the symbol "NSCP,"
Netscape Communications Corporation is based in Mountain View, California.

This is the third wave on taking over rumors. Most of shorts must have covered their positions. Today's close was just at the peak to fit both LT and ST trend lines. It will be very interesting to see tomorrow's moving. Good luck!
